Timberwood Fire Rebuild

What was supposed to be a quiet night at home, these homeowners were awoken by a driver that drove their vehicle into the side of their home, severing the gas line, and catching the home on fire as they were sleeping.

God Bless, they and their pets made it out of their home alive, but with the vehicle and fire damage, on top of water damage and coordinated demo from the Fire Fighters, this home and everything this family had were a complete and devastating loss.

Thankfully, insurance came in and covered this rebuild and put the family up in temporary housing, with a strict timeline to complete the rebuild. So, in ADDRAC fashion, we got right to work and took the home down to the studs!

Together, in collaboration with the city's permitting department, our designers, architects, and engineers, we put together a rebuild plan, in the insurance budget, to not only put the home back together, but give it a more open concept, upgraded master bathroom, raised the ceilings, and removed some annoying walls!

We removed a wall and did away with the galley kitchen and corner pantry, in exchange for a large island, open concept, and 2 large pantry cabinets with plenty of storage for the whole family.

We did away with the full-face masonry from the ground to the soffits. This was a fight with the local HOA but a fight worthy of having and ultimately approved to help modernize the neighborhood and help resell values. The new board & batten siding in a cream tone really popped with the Onyx black shingles, new modernized garage door, and entry patio cover complete with a new chandelier, cedar posts, and pine tongue & groove ceiling.

To beat the Texas heats in the summer, we added a back patio cover tied into all of the new framing, complete with cedar posts, a finished and painted ceiling, and two fans. The new board & batten siding was continued around the entire home.

The new bathroom was something to behold as we removed the old school fiberglass 3'x3' corner shower and alcove bathtub and replaced them with a large walk-in shower and free standing bathtub!

The new interior paint color scheme and these beautiful floors complimented each other so well. We cannot take credit for these selections but we can brag on behalf of the owners! Well done!

A new and refreshing spare bathroom any guest or visiting family member would be happy to spend time in!

And the Piece de Résistance, this kitchen with storage for days and an eat in bar top on the Island!

Just as an added bonus, we wrapped the Island with this finger joint paneling and gave it the same splash of paint as the Office, and it just brought it all together so well!
